To get even closer to the Portuguese capital's sky, the ideal option for enjoying the city is an elevated location with illuminated panoramic views. Whether in hotels, bars or restaurants, it is possible to have a privileged view over Lisbon on the rooftops of the moment, accompanied by a gin and tonic or a good glass of wine, and rocked by the most varied musical rhythms.

Bairro Alto Hotel

There may be plenty of terraces in Lisbon, but none like this one. Here you'll find a space to enjoy an unrivalled view over the city and the Tagus River. On the rooftop of the Bairro Alto Hotel, on the top floor, you can try a wide selection of snacks and light meals in one of the most interesting places in the city, due to its location, concept and inviting energy.

Topo - Martim Moniz

To get to this rooftop you will have to enter a small shopping centre, use the lift and press the button for the 6th floor, then you quickly reach the Top. You can enjoy an impressive view of the Castelo de São Jorge and Mouraria, as well as the viewpoints of Graça and Senhora do Monte. This terrace is a window to the best views of the city. Enjoy the restaurant for lunch or dinner, or venture into the varied cocktails that the bar has to offer.

 

Hours:

From Sunday to Wednesday, from 12.30 to 01.00.

From Thursday to Saturday, from 12.30 to 02.00.

Ferroviário

The Ferroviário terrace makes you want to stay moored in this part of Santa Apolónia. The space was born in 1961 and only hosted events promoted by CP (Comboios de Portugal). In 2010 it was renovated and conquered the rooftop concept. It is currently one of the best concert venues in Lisbon. It has a restaurant, a bar and a very diverse programme during the summer.

 

Hours:

Wednesday and Thursday, from 18h00 to 01h00.

Friday and Saturday, 18h00 to 03h00.

Sunday from 17h00 to 12h00.

ZDB – Zé dos Bois

The Zé dos Bois gallery is one of the most eclectic and culturally rewarding spaces in the city. In the 18th century, the building was a palace, nowadays it hosts exhibitions, concerts, theatre, dance and even cinema. This space, located in Bairro Alto, has an outstanding curatorship. The terrace of this gallery offers a special view of the busiest area of the city, where you can enjoy cocktails and watch the stars.

Monday to Thursday from 18h to 02h.

Friday and Saturday from 18h to 03h.

Rooftop Bar – Hotel Mundial

Hotel Mundial's terrace has a panoramic view over Lisbon's historic centre and the Tagus River. With a menu full of cocktails, gins, champagnes and a menu of delicious options, the space is vibrant and inviting to have a drink while enjoying the breathtaking view. It is considered one of the key places to visit in Lisbon.

Every day from 16h00 to 23h30.

Sky Bar

This terrace offers a bar-lounge and is located at the top of the Tivoli Hotel. It has a privileged view over the Tagus, the Baixa and the São Jorge Castle and always promises a cosmopolitan and sophisticated atmosphere where you can enjoy cocktails and refreshments.

Mama Shelter

This terrace has a large, cosy space with a phenomenal panoramic view over the Tagus. It's best known for its brunches and home-cooked lunches, but you can also try a variety of cocktails and watch musical performances. There's a DJ live set every Saturday, starting at 19:30.

Monday to Friday, from 19.30 to 22.30.

Saturday and Sunday:

Bar - 11.00 to 22.30;

DJ - 11h00 to 16h00 and 18h00 to 22h30.

Carmo Rooftop

This rooftop arises from a project that aimed to change the Terraces of the Carmo Convent and presents itself as a true architectural wonder, in a historic location. It is divided into 3 levels and is a very eclectic space, with dining, bar and lounge areas. It also has a very green decoration, with several plants. It has a wonderful view over the Castle and the Santa Justa Lift.

Lux Frágil

The city's most iconic and trendy nightclub, distinguished by The Guardian as one of the 25 best discos in Europe, has a well-known rooftop with an unmissable view of the Tagus River. Watching the sunrise from the balcony after a night of dancing at Lux is a rite of passage for any Lisboner.

Silk Club

Located in an old historic building in the heart of Chiado, this rooftop is known for its versatility. Perfect for late afternoon drinks, it's also the ideal space for a dinner with friends, and even later in the evening, it becomes a real nightclub. The restaurant has a delicious menu of Japanese food and the bar has a variety of cocktails and drinks.

Tuesday to Sunday from 18h to 1h.
