Tips to not miss the best cultural events

  • Get your tickets in advance. Many of the most popular festivals and shows sell out quickly. If you have a favorite artist or must-see event, book your spot early.
  • Use public transportation. The metro and shared bikes are excellent options for getting around the city during the summer, especially on busy days.
  • Dress for the heat and comfort. Lisbon can get scorching in July and August. Wear light clothing, comfortable shoes, and of course, always have sunscreen and water handy.
  • Explore beyond the event. Many of these events take place in interesting areas of the city. Take the opportunity to discover a new cafe, a local gallery, or simply get lost in the streets.
