During the month of May, Lisbon becomes a true creative hub, attracting artists, curators, collectors, and curious visitors.

LAAF

The Lisbon Art and Antiques Fair has established itself as one of the leading events dedicated to decorative arts and antiques in Portugal. The fair brings together leading professionals, including antique dealers and specialized galleries, and extends into a parallel program that fosters cultural dialogue through talks, guided visits, book launches, and wine tastings.

ARCOlisboa

ARCOlisboa is a key highlight of the city’s cultural calendar. Held at Cordoaria Nacional, the event brings together a carefully curated selection of national and international galleries, with a focus on contemporary art.
It serves as a meeting point for different players in the art world. For visitors, it offers an experience that allows them to explore multiple galleries and projects in one place, providing a comprehensive overview of the current scene.

Lisbon Design Week

At the same time, the fourth edition of Lisbon Design Week invites visitors to explore the city in a more spontaneous and decentralized way. Spread across more than 80 venues throughout the city, the event turns Lisbon into a true design and craftsmanship circuit.
Five days are dedicated to celebrating local creativity, with the participation of more than 150 creators.

Bairro Alto Hotel Exhibition

From May 14 to July 31, Bairro Alto Hotel presents "Névoa Vermelha da Noite” (2026) by guest artist Maria Capelo. The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in art through a synesthetic experience.
