Carnival in Lisbon: The best parties of 2020

Go get the stink bombs, the confetti, the sparkles, the streamers, the feathers, the masks and the most irreverent costumes… the Carnival has arrived!! An event that revellers love the most and also those who must not miss the joy, the celebration and the spirit that fill the city all over the country. As the Portuguese saying goes "life lasts for two days, Carnival lasts for three”, so we have to live them in the best way.

Over the next few days, Lisbon is completely transformed to receive the most original parades and parties, the most creative floats or even the most fun and well-characterized giant puppets and big heads. We may not be in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) or have a sambadrome like our brothers, but we have the same revelry and the same samba in our blood. After all, a good Portuguese likes to party!

For this reason, until next Tuesday, Carnival day, leave a space in your agenda and come to celebrate with us. And so you can know what to choose, check out some of the best parties in Lisbon for this festive season:

Dressed properly, or without a mask, it does not matter. What you should do is live the Carnival in Lisbon as if it were the last days of your vacation (or of your visit to the capital). And, during these days, don't forget another Portuguese saying: "It's Carnival, nobody takes anything the wrong way!”
