Begin your visit at one of the most beautiful and emblematic squares in the city: Terreiro do Paço (or Praça do Comércio – Commerce Square). If you don’t mind a longer walk, we suggest you stroll up to Alfama from downtown Lisbon, passing by Sé de Lisboa (Lisbon Cathedral), Miradouro de Santa Luzia and Miradouro das Portas do Sol, viewpoints where you may rest and gaze upon an amazing view over Alfama and the Tejo. If you’d rather use public transport, step aboard the iconic 28 tram at Praça da Figueira and hop off at Largo das Portas do Sol, just by the viewpoint.
