Are you spending the weekend in Lisbon? Discover the best things to do

Anyone who's been to Lisbon knows that it's a charming city, whether in the morning, afternoon or evening. It's hard to say what time of day suits it best.

Known for winning the hearts and return tickets of those who visit, it's a city for all tastes and generations, full of beauty, experiences and traditions.

If you've never stepped foot on the capital's pavements or if you're thinking of revisiting its nooks and crannies, here are some suggestions for an unforgettable weekend.

Morning

The mornings in Lisbon are even more beautiful when you can see the Tagus River up close.

If you don't want to miss a memorable sunrise, walk along its banks and enjoy the scenery or choose one of the terraces in Cais do Sodré for your first coffee of the day.

Take the opportunity to get to know the area in detail and continue your walk to Belém, where you can try the iconic Pasteis de Belém and visit some of Lisbon's historic monuments.

We promise you a morning walk marked by points of admirable and distinguished beauty, such as MAAT and other museums, always in the company of the Tagus and an open view of Lisbon.

As snack time approaches, surprise your taste buds with the capital's typical gastronomy or visit one of the city's most delicious pastry shops for breakfast.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, take advantage of the capital's climate and soak up the sun on its best terraces and gardens, or take a guided tuk tuk tour of the city's most emblematic areas, where you can get a glimpse of its heritage and wide range of attractions. You can also take a trip along the city's most historic route on the mythical tram 28.

If you prefer a walk, tread Lisbon's cobbled streets and visit its squares, with their privileged locations and surrounding places of interest.

In the late afternoon, sit back and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset from the city's most beautiful viewpoints.
If your visiting during this season, don't worry, Lisbon still has plans for you

And in winter, the lights come on all over the city, inviting you to experience the essence of the season and visit the Christmas markets

Night

Lisbon's nights are full of fado, theatre plays and live shows. They belong to bars, rooftops and nights out. There's room for all kinds of plans.

Discover the capital's most iconic theatre stages or have a gastronomic experience in the restaurants of the traditional Bairro Alto. Take a stroll through the shopping streets of Chiado or have an ice-cream in the best ice-cream parlours in Baixa.

If you're looking for a place to spend the night in the heart of the city, try the Bairro Alto Hotel, ideally located for exploring the magic of Lisbon.

In the capital you'll always have something to do, somewhere to visit, an experience to live or a landscape to contemplate.

Book a weekend to visit the city and experience Lisbon from morning to night.
